Studying includes early mornings, long schooldays and much work to do outside school. And because life is not only studying, we need time for free time, too. But every day lasts 24 hours, not more or less. I think we all agree that every 24 hours must include enough sleep. Why is it so?

As we study, our brains do hard work, which takes a lot of energy. We receive new information at school all the time and we should be able to process it. A simple fact is that it doesn’t manage if we don’t sleep enough. All of us know how it feels to be too tired to concentrate on anything, and it is not a funny thing to experience. When we haven’t slept enough and we go to school, it feels almost useless to be there, knowing that it’s impossible to learn anything properly. This also reflects to our results and can be seen as bad grades, which leads to bad motivation.

The lack of sleep can be a problem to many students, but there is only one way to help it. Make enough time for sleep, no matter how busy you are. Often when we are busy, we need to take time from something else for doing what we must, and often the target is sleep. It definitely shouldn’t be like that, because sleep is the base of life and the base of studies.
